The Global Warming Forest Group (GWFG) exists for the primary objective of seeing an immediate end to all logging, thinning and clearing in Western Australia's native forest. As more and more people are realising the seriousness of climate change on the planet, governments are going to have to stop turning a blind eye to the destruction industry is doing to the natural environment.

GWFG fully supports the use of responsibly managed tree farms (not industrial tree monocultures) for the production of timber and the use of recycled native timber for the craftwood industry. There is absolutely no need to destroy any more native forest.

Global warming, polluted rivers, salinity, forest diseases etc are reasons enough to stop tampering with the balance of nature. There is only one reason for the continued logging of native forest and that is to support the short term profits of greedy corporations who care nothing for wildlife or future generations.
