If you look at the photos you will see the recent logging destruction in a mature mixed mature karri/jarrah marri forest near the Warren River in Western Australia’s southwest.
The area is known as Crowea 7 to the government departments that control it, which are The Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) and by proxy The Forest Products Commission (FPC)
Crowea 7
This area of forest is nestled in the hills and valleys located 400 metres from the Warren River and next to the Bibbulman Track
But the big issue here is that it is that DEC already knew about the colonies of endangered Quokka in this coupe area that now has been clear felled.

But what has been done by DEC to protect Quokka from the logging process?

The answer to this is nothing!

A recovery plan required by the federal government for endangered animals which has been produced, has now been shelved so that the FPC can log in areas where endangered animals live.
Please contact the environment minister and ask to have the recovery plan put into action to save these poor creatures from extinction.
Please contact the minister responsible for this destruction and tell him your concerns
